Sharjah Publishing City was established in 2017 by the Royal Decree of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah. It is managed by Sharjah Book Authority, a special branch of the Government of Sharjah, that oversees the umbrella of projects related to the ruler's visionary goals for the Emirate.
